Kids, Teachers Say Thanks
Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. recently attended the Sports and Arts in Schools Foundation's Summer Camp program, held most mornings at P.S. 234, 30-15 29th St., Astoria, and was given a collage made by students as their thank you. Vallone provides funding for the program, which conducts free sports and arts activities for children ages 6 to 12, ranging from basketball to ballet to karate during the summer.
